Sugar Free Smoothie Recipe: Blueberry, Basil, and Lemon Smoothie

Trying to kick the sugar cravings and cleanse after a vacation? Here’s a sugar free smoothie recipe that’s one way to fill you and your family up with healthy veggies, protein, and fiber, plus tons of flavor. It’s fragrant, thanks to the herbs, and creamy, thanks to the banana and yogurt.

Sugar Free Smoothie Recipe: Blueberry, Basil, and Lemon Smoothie -

4 Servings, 1 Cup Each


  • 1 cup plain yogurt (Greek or traditional)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cups frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 lemon, with the rind if you have a powerful blender (if not, just use lemon juice)
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint
  • 1 small cucumber, halved (about 6 inches long)
  • 1 banana, preferably frozen


Puree in a blender until smooth. If it is too tart for your tastes, add 1 – 3 Tbsp. honey or agave nectar.
