An Easy Holiday Cocktail Recipe: Caramel Apple Martini

This easy holiday cocktail recipe, Caramel Apple Martini, will enhance your celebrations and add a flavorful flare to your party.

While some people know me as a family dinner expert, one of my favorite hobbies is mixology. I have a great time mixing cocktails and someday I hope to write a book of easy and fun cocktails and appetizers, which I have been developing for years.

I am a member of a professional culinary organization called Les Dames d’Escoffier, and when they were looking for members to do a holiday demo in Washington, DC, I volunteered to teach people how to make some festive and easy holiday cocktail recipes.

Because I too often don’t do things the easy way, I challenged myself to come up with all new cocktails for the event. In addition to daydreaming about the recipes, the most fun part was having friends over to concoct and test cocktails with me.  We came up with some wonderful combinations (although the sriracha margarita was very divisive) and I came up with three holiday cocktail recipes as winners of the bunch. (Thank you to my talented friend and photographer Linda Wolpert for taking the photos and helping me prep for the event!)

Today, I bring you the Caramel Apple Martini, an easy and festive holiday cocktail recipe that can enhance your celebrations and add a flavorful flare to your cocktail hour or appetizers at your next dinner party.

If you get a chance to make it for your holiday guests, please let me know how you like it.

Note: I tend to have a heavy hand when it comes to making cocktails—please be responsible when drinking alcohol and please don’t get behind the wheel after drinking.

Easy Holiday Cocktail Recipe - Caramel Apple Martini - Aviva Goldfarb

Caramel Apple Martini

Makes 1 serving

Ingredients:

  • 4 oz. spiced apple cider (Trader Joe’s sells it in large bottles during the holiday season)
  • 2 oz. salted caramel vodka (I use Stoli Salted Karamel)
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon (about 2 oz.)
  • 1 cup ice
  • Whipped cream
  • Salted caramel sauce, warmed (Smucker’s Simple Delights is excellent)

Shake together the first four ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice; Strain the liquid into a martini glass.  Top with whipped cream and a drizzle of salted caramel sauce.

There are more where this came from!
